MyGoodDay (published as MyGoodDay: Mood & Habits) is a mood and habit app made by Tethered Tech, LLC. This page explains what the app stores, why, and how you're in control of it. There's no account or sign-up, and your entries are kept on your own device.

IN SHORT

No login. No name, email, or phone number collected to use the app. Your mood, journal, and habit entries are stored locally on your device and organized under a randomly generated, anonymous ID — not your identity. We never sell your data.

 

01. Information we collect

Because MyGoodDay has no account system, we don't collect your name, email address, or any other direct identifier when you use the app. When you first open MyGoodDay, your device generates a random, anonymous ID with no connection to your real identity. That ID is used only to organize your entries in local storage on your own device — the same way a note or photo lives on your phone — rather than being uploaded to a server we control.

  • Habits you add and your daily check-offs

Automatically generated

  • Streak counts and free-trial/subscription status, so the app remembers where you left off
  • Basic technical data (device type, app version, crash logs) used only to keep the app stable

Notifications

If you allow it, MyGoodDay sends reminder notifications to help you keep up your check-ins — enabling this asks your device for notification permission, which you can turn off anytime in your device's Settings. We only use notifications for reminders you've opted into, never for marketing.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not collect your precise location, contacts, or photos.

02. How your information is used

  • To run the app: your entries are saved locally on your device so the dashboard, streaks, and history look the same every time you open the app — this data isn't uploaded to us as part of normal use.
  • To generate your Daily Progress Insight: your recent moods, journal entry, and habit activity are sent, at the moment you view your insight, to a third-party AI language model provider so it can generate a short, personalized line of text. This is a real-time request, not ongoing storage — the provider processes that content only to generate the response, doesn't retain it to build a profile of you, and doesn't sell it onward.
  • To improve the app: basic, non-identifying technical diagnostics (like crash logs or app version) may be sent to help us keep the app stable — never your journal, mood, or habit content.

03. Subscriptions & payment

MyGoodDay's paid plans are billed through Apple's App Store using Apple's in-app purchase system. We never see or store your card number or full billing details — Apple handles that in line with Apple's own privacy policy.

04. Sharing your information

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share your journal entries, mood history, or habit data with advertisers. Since that content lives locally on your device, we're generally not in a position to share it at all. The only exceptions are:

  • The AI service provider used to generate your Daily Progress Insight (described above), which receives only what's needed for that one request
  • Basic crash/diagnostic tooling, which never sees your journal, mood, or habit content
  • Authorities, only if required by law

05. Your choices & rights

Because your entries are stored locally, you're already in control of them — edit or delete individual journal entries and habits at any time right in the app, or uninstall MyGoodDay to remove everything from your device at once. If you're in a region (such as the EU/UK or California) with specific data rights, or have any question about what's collected, email us at info@tethtech.org.

06. Children's privacy

MyGoodDay is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and provided information to us, contact us and we'll delete it.

07. Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use MyGoodDay after a change means you accept the updated policy.
